Word of Mouth (WOM)

What does Word-of-Mouth (WOM) mean?

Word-of-mouth is the sharing of information, opinions, and experiences about products, services, brands, and companies through word of mouth, word of mouth communication, or recommendations.

The transfer of information from person to person. Technically speaking, the term refers to oral communication, but today it also refers to online communication. WOM marketing is cost-effective, but it requires work and includes many components of inbound marketing, such as product marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.
